Description

Sports practice has reached enormous levels of participation in Europe. There are more and more participants in sports events, especially in the so-called popular ones, and many of them set performance improvement goals.

That sport must be done in safe conditions is a principle that does not allow discussion and we must aim to minimize the negative consequences of sports practice, from the most well-known and common, such as injuries to the musculoskeletal system, to the most serious incidents, like sudden death.

Medical examination is the first strategy to prevent most of the undesirable effects of sports practice, including sudden death, but it must be carried out for specific purposes, with appropriate content and by professionals perfectly prepared to carry them out, to interpret them, to certify them and to establish contraindications for sports practice.

The objective of the BASIC COURSE OF PREPARTICIPATION SCREENING OF ATHLETES is to provide the student with specific knowledge about the types of examinations, the sections they must contain, paying special attention to the strategies for preventing sudden death, in addition to teaching the models of certificates and reports that must be made and contraindications for practicing sports taught.

The BASIC COURSE OF PREPARTICIPATION SCREENING OF ATHLETES consists of 20 topics, with specific contents treated in a solid and rigorous way that is presented in computer documents.
